What does mobile app development cost in Malaysia?

A real, shippable app from a Malaysian studio in 2026 sits in three bands: RM25k to RM50k for a single-platform MVP, RM50k to RM100k for a proper cross-platform build with backend and payments, and RM100k to RM250k for production apps with offline sync, multiple user roles, and hardware or accounting integration.

Do you build for iOS, Android, or both?

Both. Our default stack is React Native with Expo, which ships one codebase to iOS and Android. We also do fully native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) when an app needs deeper OS integration, hardware access, or premium performance. We'll recommend the right choice during scoping.

Will I get an interactive prototype before development starts?

Yes. We never write production code from a static Figma file. You'll receive a clickable, testable prototype of the full user flow before development begins, so you and your team can walk through every screen and catch problems early. Prototype changes cost a fraction of what code changes do.

Do you handle App Store and Play Store submission?

Yes. App Store and Google Play submission, listings, screenshots, and the first round of policy back-and-forth are part of every app build. We also wire crash analytics, performance monitoring, and basic ASO so you launch with the dials you need.

Do I really need a native app, or is a website enough?

For most Malaysian SMEs, a fast website or PWA solves the brief at a fraction of the cost. We turn down more app projects than we accept. Native makes sense when you need home-screen presence, push notifications, offline functionality, or hardware access. We'll tell you honestly which side of that line your project sits on.
